His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has issued Decree No. (21) of 2025 concerning the formation of the Board of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council.
Under the provisions of the Decree, His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has been appointed as Chairman of the Council. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri will serve as Vice Chairman.
The Board will also include Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani and representatives from several key government entities: Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports, Dubai Air Navigation Services, Dubai Maritime Authority, Digital Dubai Authority, and Dubai Municipality. Additionally, the Secretary-General of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council will serve as a member.
Representatives from these entities will be nominated by the heads of their respective organisations.
The Decree is effective from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
