Epic Click Travel: Thousands of Irish holidaymakers have been cautioned against traveling to Spain and Italy due to intensifying anti-tourism protests.
Recent demonstrations in Barcelona featured protesters blocking a tour bus, spraying it with water pistols, and chanting “Tourists go home.” The action was organized by the Assembly of Neighbourhoods for the Decrease in Tourism, which aims to reduce mass tourism’s impact.
More significant protests are scheduled for June 15 across 16 cities in Spain, Portugal, and Italy, including major tourist destinations such as Barcelona, Mallorca, Venice, and Ibiza
