Emaar announces: The Dubai Fountain Show is set to undergo a major transformation and an extended closure for most of 2025. Initially expected to shut down in May, the final performance will now take place on Saturday, April 19.
The Dubai Fountain, known as the world’s largest performing fountain, has captivated millions of visitors with its breathtaking water, music, and light displays. Located in front of the Burj Khalifa, the show is one of Dubai’s most popular attractions, featuring synchronized performances set to global hits like Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Andrea Bocelli’s Time to Say Goodbye.
The renovation project aims to introduce advanced technology, enhanced choreography, and an upgraded sound and lighting system, ensuring an even more spectacular experience upon its return. While previous estimates suggested a five-month closure, it is unclear whether the earlier shutdown will extend the renovation period.
Emaar’s founder, Mohamed Alabbar, emphasized the importance of this upgrade, stating, “Dubai Fountain reflects the city’s bold vision and its ability to inspire audiences worldwide. This restoration reaffirms our commitment to maintaining its legacy as a symbol of creativity and excellence.”
Although the fountain will be temporarily closed, visitors can still enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Downtown Dubai, including the Dubai Mall and breathtaking views from the Burj Khalifa.
Emaar has assured that, once the renovation is complete, guests will be welcomed back to an even more extraordinary Dubai Fountain Show. More details on its reopening date will be announced in due course
